Project Summary
The Town of Amenia is constructing a new highway garage and salt storage facility to replace the current inadequate facility. The project is located on a vacant 5-acre lot on the east side of NYS Route 22. The Palumbo Group was selected as construction manager at a cost of $374,540 after a competitive RFP process. The town board exercised its authority to exempt the project from local zoning regulations.

Special meeting held to interview three candidates for construction manager: Arcadis of New York ($497,800), CHA Consulting ($488,325), and The Palumbo Group ($374,540).

Town Board awarded construction management services contract to The Palumbo Group Inc. for $374,540. Project is a new highway garage and salt storage facility on a vacant 5-acre lot on the east side of NYS Route 22, approximately 2,200 ft south of South Amenia Road. Town board exempted itself from zoning regulations to permit construction.
